Groups

We currently have groups covering a wide range of interests, as well as opportunities for social activities, such as lunches and theatre trips. Members are welcome to join as many groups as they like, subject to space, and those with particular interests, experience or knowledge may decide to set up and coordinate new groups. No one needs a qualification to coordinate a group, just the enthusiasm to get things going.

Our Interest Groups decide for themselves how they wish to meet. Some are meeting in members' homes; others get together in cafes and meeting rooms. It is in the groups that friendships are forged as members follow their shared interests. As long as you are a member of Hounslow u3a it is free to join any interest group, although there may be incidental expenses. It is also customary to provide a small contribution to refreshment costs when they are provided by a member hosting the group in their home.

We are always seeking to expand the range of groups which we offer. If you have a particular interest and think you might like to form a group, please discuss it with the Groups Coordinator or any member of the committee.
